The College of Engineering and Computer Science organized a training program titled “LaTeX Overleaf Templates” on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The program targeted male and female students and was delivered by the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit, led by Dr. Amal Al-Zahrani, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ digital and academic skills.
The program aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of using LaTeX through the Overleaf platform, with a focus on utilizing ready-made templates to create professional documents such as research papers, academic reports, and CVs. It also covered how to customize templates, structure content effectively, and easily insert tables, images, and mathematical equations.
The training included practical hands-on activities that enabled participants to build and edit real document samples using LaTeX templates, thereby improving the quality of their academic output and enhancing their ability to produce well-structured scientific documents according to professional standards.
This program reflects the college’s commitment to equipping students with modern digital tools that support their academic and research journeys, while strengthening their ability to produce high-quality and well-organized scientific content.
The program was attended by 68 participants and achieved a 100% satisfaction rate, reflecting the high quality and effectiveness of its content in meeting students’ needs.
The event was also shared via the social media platform “X” to highlight the college’s efforts in advancing students’ technical and academic competencies.
