The College of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University organized, as part of the Data Science Club initiative and in fruitful collaboration with the Saudi Digital Academy (SDA), a program titled “AI for Software Engineering”, held over two days on January 22–23, 2026, with the participation of male and female students from the college and a total of 18 beneficiaries.

The program aimed to enhance academic partnerships and empower students with practical skills in the fields of artificial intelligence and software engineering through an intensive training experience that combined both theoretical and hands-on learning.

On the first day, participants were trained on the use of artificial intelligence tools in programming, applying them in code generation, and developing ideas for websites and applications, contributing to improved software development efficiency and faster implementation processes.

The second day was dedicated to practical application through a Mini Hackathon, where participants worked in teams to develop innovative technical solutions, build AI-powered applications, and transform their ideas into functional prototypes.

The college provided selected students with the opportunity to participate in the program through academic nominations, allowing them to benefit from its rich and specialized content, which served as a valuable experience in enhancing their technical and innovative skills.

At the conclusion of the program, the college expressed its aspiration to continue collaborating with the Saudi Digital Academy in future initiatives that contribute to preparing a technically skilled generation capable of meeting the demands of digital transformation and the labor market.
