Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Mishaal bin Ghalib Al-Harbi, and the Vice Dean, Dr. Mai bint Suleiman Al-Tulayan, the Academic Advising and Guidance Unit organized a welcoming ceremony for new female students for the first semester of the academic year 1447 AH. The event was held on Monday, 22/02/1447 AH, at the college theater in the female campus.
The ceremony aimed to welcome new students and foster a sense of belonging to the university through a diverse program of activities that reflect a supportive and motivating academic environment.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech from the Dean, who welcomed the students and provided an overview of the academic system at the college. He emphasized the importance of diligence and perseverance in achieving academic goals, contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Vice Dean also delivered a speech in which she welcomed the students and presented a comprehensive overview of the college’s departments, units, and key achievements. She highlighted the importance of academic advising in supporting students, helping them overcome challenges, and guiding them in making informed academic decisions.
She further addressed the role of the Guidance Unit in providing social and psychological support, emphasizing its importance in enhancing students’ academic stability. A short introductory video was also presented, showcasing the unit’s services and its role in supporting students.
The ceremony featured a segment titled “Let’s See What Has Been Said About the Program,” where a group of students from different departments shared their experiences in choosing their majors and the skills and knowledge they gained.
The event concluded with the recognition of outstanding students from all departments for the academic year 1446 AH, in a celebratory atmosphere, with an emphasis on continuing excellence and achievements that strengthen the university’s standing locally and internationally.
