The College of Engineering and Computer Science implemented the “Ask Me” initiative during the first academic semester, aiming to support new female students academically and socially, as well as assist students at advanced levels. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to fostering a supportive and motivating university environment.
The initiative was carried out by a distinguished group of 15 female students who provided guidance, answered inquiries, and organized effective communication channels, contributing to easier access to information and enhanced interaction among students.
The initiative included welcoming new students and introducing them to the college, its academic departments, and its educational and service facilities, such as classrooms, laboratories, the library, the theater, faculty offices, student affairs offices, and other relevant facilities.
It also addressed a wide range of academic inquiries, including course registration procedures, withdrawal and postponement policies, major transfer processes, field training, academic plans, university regulations, and the academic calendar.
The initiative witnessed strong positive engagement from students, who expressed their satisfaction with the content provided and their appreciation for the efforts of the participating students, highlighting its role in simplifying procedures and improving understanding of the academic environment.
Furthermore, the initiative contributed to enhancing students’ awareness of their academic surroundings and facilitated their adaptation to university life, positively impacting their comfort and academic stability.
