The Guidance and Academic Counseling Unit at the College of Computer Engineering and Computer Science organized an introductory meeting on the college’s academic majors on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 (9 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447H). The event targeted third-level students and was held under the supervision of the Unit Head, Dr. Fatimah Rayan Al-Owlad, as part of the college’s efforts to enhance academic awareness and support students in selecting their future specializations.

The meeting aimed to educate students about the academic specialization system, introduce labor market opportunities associated with each major, and explain the admission procedures and allocation criteria. This was intended to help students make informed academic decisions aligned with their interests, abilities, and future professional aspirations.

The event featured the participation of department heads and the Chair of the Allocation and Transfer Committee, Dr. Hassan Al-Mustiri, along with several faculty members. Comprehensive academic presentations and guidance were delivered, covering study plans and academic tracks, as well as clarifying the skills and knowledge gained and the career opportunities linked to each specialization.

The session also included a clear and simplified explanation of the allocation formula, its conditions, and the mechanism for calculating percentages and approved academic criteria, which helped enhance students’ understanding of the specialization process and its requirements.

A total of 116 male and female students attended the meeting, demonstrating active engagement. Various inquiries regarding majors and academic pathways were addressed clearly and transparently.

The meeting contributed to raising students’ awareness and supporting them in confidently choosing their future specializations, thereby strengthening their academic journey and aligning it with their future career ambitions.
