The College of Engineering and Computer Science organized a training program titled “Balancing Academic Ambition and Enjoying Life” on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The program targeted male and female students and was delivered by the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit, led by Dr. Soad Al-Sufiani, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance student well-being and develop both academic and personal skills.

The program aimed to empower participants to achieve a healthy balance between academic demands and personal life by equipping them with practical strategies in time management, prioritization, and coping with academic stress. It also focused on building effective study habits that enhance productivity without leading to mental or physical exhaustion.

The training included a range of interactive components such as open discussion sessions, practical exercises on time management, and analysis of students’ daily routines. It also addressed key factors contributing to academic distraction and explored effective methods to overcome them. In addition, real-life examples of students who successfully balanced academic excellence with personal well-being were presented.

On the self-development side, the program emphasized essential skills such as managing effort efficiently and redefining the concept of success for university students—not only as academic achievement, but also as psychological well-being and personal stability. This approach contributes to creating a more sustainable and adaptable university experience.

The program engaged 41 participants, who demonstrated strong interaction throughout the activities. It achieved a 100% satisfaction rate, reflecting the quality and relevance of its content in meeting student needs.

The event was shared via the social media platform “X” to broaden its reach and highlight the college’s commitment to supporting and preparing students for both academic life and the labor market.
