The College of Engineering and Computer Science conducted a training program titled “AI as a Thinking Partner” on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The program was organized by the Academic Advising and Guidance Unit and delivered by Dr. Fatimah Al-Qahtani, targeting male and female students of the college.
The program comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to foster students’ thinking and creativity skills, and to enable them to leverage artificial intelligence technologies as a supportive partner in thinking and decision-making processes, thereby enhancing their academic and professional capabilities.
The program covered several key topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in idea generation, problem analysis, productivity enhancement, and content creation. It also focused on developing effective prompting skills and smart interaction with AI systems to achieve optimal outcomes across various contexts.
In addition, the program emphasized strengthening participants’ abilities in creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making through innovative and efficient approaches, utilizing modern AI tools.
The session witnessed notable engagement, with 192 participants and a 100% satisfaction rate, reflecting the importance of the topic and students’ growing interest in developing their skills in this vital field.
This initiative underscores the college’s commitment to delivering high-quality programs that prepare qualified graduates capable of keeping pace with digital transformation, while reinforcing the role of artificial intelligence in supporting education and developing 21st-century skills.
